Studio Build 3 – Closing It In

For the next couple weeks, I was mostly on my own. There’s a lot of odds and ends that have to be tidied up after the major framing is done. Building wrap, soffit and fascia, windows and doors to be installed. Roofing is another big job that happens now.

With whatever evening and weekend time I could, I worked on the things I could do myself. My dad helped me install the windows and doors, no mean feat. I decided I was too old to shingle any more (that’s my story and I’m sticking to it) and I hired some young roofers to do that job for me. Mother nature cooperated one weekend, the snow melted, the sun came out and the boys were able to do my roof before the real snow came to stay. Closed in just in time!
